I love reading and learning and recently (in the last few years) have been on a “spiritual and authenticity binge” if you will, devouring books about tapping into your true self and on how to create more abundance in your life. During this journey I came across a book that I can definitely enroll on my list of most influential books of all time. That book is “Manifest Your Destiny – The Nine Spiritual Principles for Getting Everything You Want” by Wayne Dyer.

Wayne Dyer is an internationally renowned author, PhD and spiritual guru (www.drwaynedyer.com) who has written countless bestsellers on how to achieve a peaceful life and work toward being your best self. I pretty much love everything that he has written/spoken because all that emanates from him is of positivity, care and love.

On to “Manifest Your Destiny”… in my opinion, this book is a game-changer! If you want a manual on how to trust in yourself, navigate the different phases of life and manifest your heart’s desires, then check out this book!

In the book, Dr. Dyer reveals the concept of meditating to the sounds of creation (seventh principle) and explores the notion that sounds have power and subsequently have a great impact in our lives. The sound of creation,”ah”, can be found in almost every word for the known names of God (G-ah-d), the original creator. For example, “Allah (Ah-lah)”, “Krishna (Krish-nah)”, “Yahweh (Y-ah-weh)”, “Eloah (Elo-ah)”.

Aligning yourself with this creative energy, allows you to tap into universal vibrational power and create your life’s desires. Dr. Dyer recommends rising every morning for 30 days, at sunrise (most creative time of day), to complete the “ah” meditation. The meditation is completed by getting into a comfortable environment with comfortable loose fitting clothes, while sitting in a comfortable position that aligns your chakras. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself and clear your mind, formulate what it is that you would like to manifest in your head and then begin to chant “ah” on exhalation, while focusing on what it is that you want to manifest. Do this for about 20-30 minutes every morning at sunrise, for 30 days. OH and don’t tell anyone what it is that you are working on manifesting!

I have personally applied Dr. Dyers technique and received some compelling results. I made this my meditation practice for 30 days, utilizing a timer on my cell phone to track the length of my practice. Somedays I laid down during my practice while others, I sat on the floor/sofa/ottoman cross-legged. This was a very hard thing for me to do, as I am not a morning person but I was curious to see what kind of results I’d get, so I committed.

The focus of my manifestation was creation of a raise at my place of employment, and guess what… I received the raise! Unfortunately once I achieved what I set my mind to, I slowly stopped the practice. This practice definitely takes some discipline with the early rising, and I am not really a morning person however I know first-hand the benefits of this practice and am planning to re-establish it in my life.
